cant download HP tuner to my laptop?

i bought a new notebook yesterday to use as a tuning computer and when i tried to download hp tuner to it, it was telling me i needed the microsoft .net framework 2.0.. i downloaded the .net 2.0 and tried to download HP tuner again and it told me to download the .net framework again..what am i doing wrong..my HP tuner disk is a few years old i think its the 2.22..how do i get the disk with the 2.23 on it?

Contact Support for the beta to be linked from your account page. No disk for it.

IIRC you need a newer .net than 2.0, maybe 3?

We also posted a version of 2.22 with the net framework checks removed to make for a smoother install on win 7/vista.

I have the same problem. I tried the 2.22 download but it does the same thing.

Thanks, but being nearly computer handicapped I was unable to make any sense of it. I have tried to follow the instructions but I am frustrated. Nothing about this program seems to work with 7.

Not sure what you are getting hung up on, download the software I posted, install it. Been running it on win 7 for the past 3 or so years that win 7 has been out.

bill got me squared away with win 8 and this is what i had to do.
1: get 2.23 on my hptuners home page. load it, run it. i could look at my tunes and scans but could not see the mpvi.
2: down load then load the drivers from the help sticky. this is a little more tricky. i am not really a computer guy but if you want this to work you have to try harder. just because you download the drivers does not mean they are applied. you must follow the sticky to the letter. and load the drivers.

all of this worked well with 8 and i scanned and tuned since. thanks bill and good luck cal sam.
