Getting timing retard or knock retard?

Logs and tunes help a ton in trying to troubleshoot.

Sounds like burst knock to me. Zero it out and see how it does (the timing not the g/cyl delta).

sorry should have been more specific

    it is knock retard
was wondering if a momentary over rich condition can cause it as well

You are maxing out the KR any time you enter PE, check for KS codes. You probably need to replace a sensor, harness, check the connection or a combination of these.

First thing to look at is, is your AFR dipping right before
    knock detect, and following tip-in.

If so, the first suspect is the VE table at about that
point. You step into SD mode on unsteady MAP, and
if it's well leaner than MAF mode there's your transient
    ping.

jimmy as well you may be onto something because i have other scans where i use about 50% throttle to redline and keep it smooth and i get no kr. so maybe this unsteady map state is a place to look any idears on a start proceedure
