Is there an XP or win 7 compatibility mode you can enter?

Wow, sounds like you are using a old version Robby, mine was just built a couple of days ago. We've kept up with microsoft as best we could over the past few years while they try to keep up with a changing market. Vista sucked so microsoft came out with win 7 not too much later which we had to make several accomodating changes within our software for this, now to keep up with the tablet craze they've now spent billions advertising & creating win 8 which generally speaking tuning doesn't really lend itself well to tablet tuning IMO(I have a 7" android tablet and I just don't think I'd be fond of using it for any kind of real tuning without a real keyboard). In any event sounds like you might want to update your software or something if yours was built in 2006.

For those wanting to use HPT with Windows 8, make sure you have .NET Framework 3.5x installed.

    See here:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443.aspx

"You can also enable the .NET Framework 3.5 yourself through Control Panel. In Control Panel, choose Programs and Features, choose Turn Windows features on or off, and then select the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 check box. This option requires an Internet connection."

That will install .NET 2.0 and 3.0, as well.

After doing this, restart your computer, then uninstall any current copy previously installed of HPT, restart again, then install the latest beta (you'll need to email [email protected] for it). Everything should work just fine now under Windows 8. It does for me, and I'm getting zero errors.

    Any ideas?

The software installs, but when I connect the interface, Windows does not recognize it. Everything stops there....

You are kidding me right? I installed your software, and when I plug the interface into the PC, Windows 8 does not recognize it. I Google the problem and find the .net Framework 3.5 fix, and that does not work. Then, you want me watch a video for Windows 7 because it is likely the same? What kind of customer service is that?

If I don't get some real assitance, I am going to be unhappy and then my vendor\turner will be unhappy.
