    E38 Changes

Has anyone here heard of this?

    Link
"The E38 ECU has been changed for the upcoming engine configurations from GM.

Could a tune fix this ? NO, Even when the sensitivity is decreased the ECU is so sensitive that the simple act of a human blowing into your air box with one breath can make a car die.
To make a Ram Air system function, you must over feed the motor at a rate greater than that generated by the vacuum from the motor itself. This is where you will hit trouble, We found the limit of what is possible and that is what is being designed into the system.

Vararam is claiming an untunable ECU in the newer version of the E38. Has anyone seen or dealt with this or even know what they are talking about?

    Tuners?
    Bill or Chris?
    Anyone?

    Lol. Hilarious.

I started cracking up when one of their guys tried telling me about wind shear effect. They told me they were able to actually generate boost on a car. Lol.

Further, the ingestion rate of a LS3 is a lot higher than what their crazy small cross sectional area intake can provide (not to mention small filter surface area).

The only advertised function they actually do well is get fresh air from outside of the engine bay.

If what they said was true, they'd realize that speed density would correct this.

so an ECU is supposiedly not able to measure, and adapt to changing amounts of airflow? isn't that one of the main reasons to have it?

Yes but if you blow into your airbox does your car stall? That is the real question
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
