Validate cable license failed and wont connect!

Been having this on going issue with connecting to hp tuners.
After working fine all day hp tuners wont connect. In Scanner or Editor. The error i get is validate cable license failed error: p0 as well as not being able to ping the mpvi. Under Help>vcm suite info>i character.
it says the interface is not found. I trouble shoot by going through device manager and all the drivers are up to date. Im also using the latest beta.

Ive sent my mpvi in for repair only to hear that there is nothing wrong with my unit. I try it on mulitiple cars and it happens on all of them. The only thing i can think of is the fact that im running hptuners on a mac that runs windows 7 virtually on vmware fusion. Im not sure if anyone else has done this and hptuners support doesnt know anything about running it on a mac.

Like i said the scanner will work out of no where. Then it will go 25 times without connecting in scanner or editor

Maybe try running it on a pc for a while to see if its a mac related issue of some sort to at least narrow it down.

virtual, it runs as a window in mac osx

tried with another laptop and another vehicle. SAME PROBLEM
