As many of you know, the new Camaro has a pretty aggressive startup. Is this really necessary? If you were going to tone it down a bit would you start with Startup Airflow so the throttle doesn't open so much upon initial spark?

i guess my keyword in search should have been "flare." i multiplied the startup flare control by 1.5 and it's much better, but still a little bit excessive. I can add a little more and see how it goes.
I would decrease the cranking and idle timing in the very low regions by about 2* and see what happens. Startup airflow can/will do the trick as well.

haha, I thought the same thing.
Go to: Engine/Spark/Advance/Startup Flare Cont/ then lower those numbers ALOT. Here are my numbers, flare is kept to a minimum. Also, adjust the Multiplier for the temps with the biggest flare. I moved the mult.'s closer to 1.
