    04 impala ss/indy

a guy i know wants his RPM limiter raised on his S/C Impala SS/Indy. I don't know much about the 3800 motor, and I tried talking him out of it (i don't think it's worth it for a grocery getter). He's a car guy (older cars mostly) and knows the risks, but seems adamant to get it done.

My question is what kind of RPM's can this motor safely turn stock; and, for my own curiosity, what boost levels can this motor safely handle stock?

From what I've heard any thing over 6K you could see things let loose.
Boost, on a stock S/C motor around 6-8 or more if the exhaust is not opened up.

BTW i have a tune guide for the 3.8 if your interested.
    PM me.
I think I know what I'm doing, have not blown up my car ....yet! Love my 2001 Buick Regal GS.
