    Problems installing VCM Suite 2.22

    I have a Windows 7 64 bit machine w/.net framework 3.5

When I try to install the VCM Suite, it gives an error saying I need the .net framework 2.0 to install.... I do have this installed, as 3.5 includes everything before it... and just for the hell of it I went to find a 2.0 version to install and it says I already have that version.

    Any help appreciated.

I followed all those steps and still nothing. I unzipped the files to my desktop. Then I connected my mpvi interface to a usb port, it made a connection sound, but it did not try to install the drivers. I tried to continue with the installation, but dont see the mpvi device with an !. Any help would be great.
    thanks.

Ok, I was able to get the drivers onto the interface. Now what do I do to get the software onto my windows 7 laptop? I have a 2.1.4 vcm suite disk that requires .net 1.1 framework. I tried downloading the 1.1 framework but it says not compatible with windows 7.

    Thanks

Install 2.22 as posted in this thread, 2.1.4 is some 6 years old and is no longer supported.

2.22 drivers installed properly onto the interface. My problem is that I dont see any icons to open the editor or scanner. How can I read, write and flash my car's computer with nothing to open.

The icons are in the programs folder.

do a search for "VCM Editor.exe"
if your computer can not find it you may have to reinstall

I have uninstalled and reinsalled multiple times. It only updates drivers on the interface and nothing else. Cant find editor or scanner. Before this laptop, I had a Dell windows7 x64, and the install worked perfectly. Now Im using an Asus windows7 x64, im not sure if that has anything to do with it.
