    Save your Current MAP?

I had my car tuned at my local speed shop and they used HP Tuners. I want to purchase the program myself and do my own changes. now my question is if I purchase HP Tuners, can i save my current MAP theway it is and go back to it at anytime? or because it wasnt from my device it work at all?

I would like to save it, and change my shift points and stuff like that.

    Help please!

Make sure they didn't "lock" the tune, most shops don't and even if they did you can call the shop and they will likely unlock it. And if they won't, then just start from scratch. Its amazing how fast you can pick up on what's going on. On my first tune I ever made, I was able to get the vehicle to idle right and drive well, with a cam swap, a self-made standalone harness, a different intake manifold, and a manual instead of an auto - oh and a turbonetics T72. (Thanks in no small part to the great information avaiable here) The best part is I didn't even need to purchase a "manual" OS. Now I'm still working on getting the car to run properly in boost but that's mainly due to my pathetic stock injectors and lack of a wideband. Both problems will be solved the next time UPS comes to my house. My bottom line here is that, yes, you paid for a tune; however I would prefer to start fresh personally. You'll never cheat yourself out of the best tune possible.
