    Timing for beginner

Hi. I am new to tuning and i am having some problems understanding the whole timing part. my friend helped me get a base tune going but after talking to another guy he said my timing down low is horrible.. and i dont know were to start. i dont know how to understand the cylender airmass g\cy. i have no clue on that and how to adjust or were i need to put timing to or take it away. sorry for the really noobish question! i also need help with trying to make it not so rich because the tune is very rich but thats second i just need help with one thing at a time.. sorry for such a scrub question and would reallly appreciate if anybody could give me some tips on how to adjust timing exc or understand the meaning of the graphs thanks very much.

Not necessarily the best way but if you are automatic with stock converter then start with cyl/airmass about .52+ and add two degrees at a time until you get best performance or KR then back off a couple.

Best way if you are lost take a look at similar cars with your mods/tranny and see what they have and work from their.
