    Exclamation 09 G8 GT - Converter lock up ???

    09 G8 GT
    Vararam Intake
    Pacesetter long tubes
    no cats 2.5" X pipe
    Pypes axle backs
    LS7 lifters
    224/224 .581/.581 112 lsa cam

    Best time 12.6 @ 112 mph on stock tires and stock converter

    Just installed a phoenix 3K stall and did all the changes for the transmission side of the tune, shifts are flawless, downshifts too. Once I load the tune fresh it will lock up no problem, takes longer if running the a/c. Just the next morning it will not lock up on a 10 mile commute ??? is there something that needs to be changed or bumped in the tune????

    I will post a copy of the tune in a few minutes.
    also some logs where it does lock up!

    For some reason I couldn't open the tune. What are your misfire tables set to?

    I've always maxed out misfire tables with a stall converter. If there's a real misfire, you should be able to feel it.

    Still no luck ! below 70 mph it wil lock and unlock continously with the a/c on or off.
    70+mph it will stay locked

    I was just looking at your file and noticed that the TCC desired slip tables were stock, the apply ramp is stock, and the regulator offset is set to the stock setting.
    My understanding is you need to max the apply ramp table and zero the desired slip tables and then bumpg the regulator offset.
    Check these two threads out. First and second.

    Let me know what happens. I'll be doing a converter soon too.

    All figured out. I will post a copy of the tune for review. It was a combination of the two threads and some tweaking involved!!!
