    Anyone have maf tables for the K&N CAI on an LS1 GTO?

    A guy I tuned (just got rid of torque management and firmed up his shifts) keeps throwing a maf performance code due to the skewed readings as well as a bank1 s1 too lean. He doesn't have a wideband so I would greatly appreciate the maf tables for his intake. Thanks

    Any reason why not to tune the maf using the stock O2's

    There are two ways a K&N intake could mess up a MAF.

    One, the K&N oil will over time coke up the sense elements. This is
    a hygiene problem, not a tune problem. Cleaning with Q-D electric
    contact cleaner (no touch) is a good idea. So is getting rid of the
    oily rag altogether.

    Two, a bent inlet tract can skew airflow distribution and bother a
    non-screened MAF. I don't know what the GTO CAI looks like, to say
    whether this looks likely. One approach might be to locate the MAF
    up by the filter element, where airflow is nice and diffuse and pretty
    straight. I've seem this done on a truck with no ill effect.

    I'd work on the hygiene first.

    Clean it as suggested above then disable dynamic air and tune the MAF. Use fuel trims for part throttle and a wideband for full throttle.

    I got the same thing with my ls1 gto with k&n cai after I cammed it.
    Turns out the bolt that holes the cai to the bracket that mounts to the head fell out and OT was bouncin at idle and it would pop off the throttle body ever so slightly.

    Added a bolt and tightened it up and have yet to have the light.
