Cam sensor code new ls3

Having hard start issues in new gmpp ls3/480. Getting a p0341 code indicating cam sensor circuit. Do cam sensors fail? Once it is up and running all is fine. Does have a tendency to stahl if you put it in gear right after starting. If you wait for20 seconds before putting in gear it is fine.

It could be a bad sensor or damaged wiring.
Before you buy a new sensor, check the wiring with a multimeter and make sure it has good contact from the sensor's plug to the PCM's pins. Twist and pull the wires to check for broken wiring or bad contact.

If wiring is good, then you need a new sensor.

Did you erase the code with the scanner to see if it pops again?
