LS1 Knock Sensors on LS2 Block

New LS1 knock sensors were installed on drilled/tapped holes on side of swapped aluminum LS2 block (orginally iron LS1). From day one I repeatedly get P0327 and P0332 codes. The wires ohm correctly and continuity is good from PCM harness to connector. Ground (G103) is good. I have tried increasing all engine diag tables for rev and cyl modes to max (32747) and that makes it take a couple of more cycles to code but they still do come back. I have checked motor mounts, exhaust/cats, pulled intake back off, replaced plugs, ohm'd wires, re-torqued bolts to spec., etc. Physically, all that is left is the PCM to replace.

    1. Do the diag tables have anything to do with what the PCM is expecting to "hear" to pass the dtc tests or am I wasting my time raising and lowering them to satisfy these tests?

    2. I have seen a couple of tunes for similar setups and the dtc's for P0327 and P0332 were turned off. Will the knock sensors function (register knock) and PCM react with those off?

    Any insight appreciated.

Did you check that the knock sensors resistance is 93K-107K ohms? Sounds like your maxing the misfire counter tables, nothing to do with knock sensor codes.

Russ thanks for the response. Yes I verified the ohms from sensors to harness connector at rear of block. I verified continuity from PCM harness connectors to harness connector at rear of block. I verified the common ground (G103) for PCM, MAF, etc. at engine to transmission bolt. The PCM is about all that is left I think. I have tried adjusting all the diag rev and cyl mode tables from stock in varied increments all the way up to 32474 (max.). The max value has gone the most cycles without P0327 and P0332 (about 6), whereas closer to stock has been two. I have entertained making them more sensitive than stock which was the reason for my question if the tables affect the bar on what the PCM is looking to "hear" as normal. If I understand what you posted, the two are unrelated. My second question was if I turn the two codes off and start working the tables to more sensitive to register knock on side of aluminum block instead of iron valley, will that work or will turning those two codes off prevent the PCM from registering and responding to knock conditions?

Reading the DTC's info in my factory manual one of the conditions is to be below 45kpa and between 1500 to 3000 rpm to run the test on the original LS1. My idle is in the 50 to 55 kpa at 900 rpm for the LS2/LS3 hybrid. Problem?

......and just found the knock sensor tables vs. the misfire ones.

Racetronix has a new harness that allows you to run the LS2/LS3 style knock sensors correctly. You have to order directly from them otherwise you get the old style from other vendors that utilize the LS1 style (horrible) knock sensors. May help you with your problem.
