    write calibratin only vs. write entire

    Im still learning how to tune. Ive read a lot about whee to start and how to get off to a good start but havent found much about the differences between write only calibrations and write entire. Obviously write calibrations only is self explanitory but what does write entire do that write calibrations only doesnt.
    99 silverado 1500 5.3 Liter, bored 30 over, heads milled 30 thou, 212 218 low lift LSx comp cam, Long tube ceramic coated headers, magna flow cats, y pipe, walker dual 2.5" in single 3" out muffler, vera ram air intake, I6 TB stall, Eaton E-Locker, 4.56 gears, Throttle body bypass, Flex-a-Lite E-Fans, LS1 e-fan harness, ASP Under Drive Pullleys, HP Tuner Pro. 1 Bar MAP SD OS upgrade. Amsoil EA Bypass Oil Filtration system.

    Writes over the operating system, kinda like switching from win xp to win 7.
    If I hear when will Dodge be ready one more time...I might do one of these

    So, if you make changes to say the VE table and want to add them the tune in your vehicle, a "write calibrations only" is all that is necessary?
