Seems no matter what I do I can't get rid of the surge at idle. Am I just trying to idle this camshaft too low? ( 850 rpms ) I tuned the final airflow min and also adjusted the timing from anywhere from 17 to 21 degrees at idle. Should I try higher like 25

Nope. Cam should idle at 800 like nothin'

Always when in doubt perform a Write Entire just to clear up any possible mishaps.

Okay another question how much should the rpm vary when idling?

Ended up with 654 rwhp and and 612 lbs. ft at the rear wheels. Just wondering how the tune looks?

I had a question about the airflow min and also open/closed loop running. The car is rock solid at idle but when the car is moving the idle hunts up and down (surges). Also if I put the car back in closed loop it seems to run worse at idle. Is there a way to run OL idle say under 1200 rpms and then switch to CL for cruising?

No more than 50-60 while watching the tach on the scanner.

Try changing the adaptive idle versus VSS settings and see what it does. (Raise/Lower the MPH.)
