    Clutch Position Relearn

I searched the forum to see if there was an update on clutch relearn being added to HPT. Is there any update on this?

I don't think 2008 Corvettes use the variable clutch position switch. That's probably why it is greyed out.

Some of the later 08's do have the rotary style clutch position sensor. Mine does anyway. I'm wanting to install a Tick Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder in mine.

I like your avatar! Just installed a RPS Billet Twin Carbon clutch in mine. I really like it.

The later models have a rotary switch to tell the ecm where the clutch pedal is. Earlier models just have switches. One at the top (cruise disengage) and one at the bottom. (nuetral safety/engine startup). If you change your pedal travel, let's say you put a Tick adjustable clutch master cylinder then a "clutch pos relearn is needed.

it tells the ECM where the bottom of travel point is.

BTW, i think i have fixed this in the newest beta 2.23.602 or later

I got the latest beta. Clutch Ped Learn is no longer grayed out. However it is non functional. Click button and nothing happens. FYI

    Thanks,

I don't know. I tried it with it running and it doesn't do anything. I'll try it tommorrow with key on and see.

    key on, engine not running.

Ok i added some new PIDs in the scanner so you can see the Clutch Learn Status and the Clutch In Learned Position and the Clutch Out Learned Position.

You'll need version 2.23.620 or later to see them.

The 6 states of the Clutch In Learn Status are:
    - Disabled (learning is diabled)
    - In Progress (learning is active)
    - Pass (learn suceeeded)
    - Fail Low (learn failed due to pedal position being below learn low limit)
    - Fail High (learn failed due to pedal position being above learn high limit)
    - Fail Moving (learn failed due to pedal position not being steady enough)

From the grave, could someone tell me where the location of the relearn button is? Also, does anyone know how high it will allow it to learn? IE will it learn in a clutch stop set very high for a RPS triple disc which engages high?

Edit; it's in the scanner, and yes it will learn a very high position as 100% disengaged. Works great.
