So I was having major trouble with this 8.1L twin turbo I'm tuning and I've slowly started to figure it out. At this point I have the commanded AFR's blending pretty nicely but what I'm curious about is if there is a way to or even a need to blend the ignition timing as well? I'll post the files but what's happening is at cruising speed of 65-70mph this behemoth is constantly at 90-100kpa and is therefore flirting with open loop settings and boost enrichment settings. When the commanded afr's were not blended well I could just sit there and watch the ecu go nuts switching back and forth spastically... Now they are and driveability is much better but the ecu still seems a little confused. I'm still noticing flutter and a steady variation in timing, MAP Kpa, MAF, and most importantly you can hear the turbo's fluttering which is driving me and the owner nuts! If anyone has any advice please please help!!! I might even pay for information leading to the completion of this job!
