    Why Relocate IAT sensor

I see a lot of people relocating the IAT because of the hot start up problem. What is causing this problem of heat soak with heads/cam that was not there before? The car is running the same temp as it did stock yet stock did not have this problem? Does the "BIAS" not work for this or anything else?

You have a compound problem once you add the cam.
You know nothing about cranking VE, nothing at all
beyond "less". So the data in the PCM will push more
fuel than is now needed, the cranking airflow is bogus.

That's only somewhat about temperature, more about
overlap. Charge bias temp is a way to estimate
delivered air temp hence air mass, but how much is
actually drawn and kept in the cylinder is all VE.
