"Normal" is TCS ON. "Alternate" is COMPETITION MODE.

Try throttle blips with TCS on, and then switch to COMPETITION MODE to see the difference.

Has anyone ever killed an ECM by modifying the Desired Throttle Area table?

I've tuned several C5s and a C6 Grand Sport where I bumped the ramp rate on these tables with good results. Last night I used a known good DTA table in a tune for a 6.0 with a Maggie supercharger. It started fine but after a throttle blip the engine died and would not fire again. The fuel pump doesn't prime now, and I can not read or write to the ECM anymore. I'll do a little troublshooting in the harness tonight, but it sure seems like the ECM is dead now. What is a good way to verify that the ECM is the problem? Swap it with another one seems obvious I guess.

Yes, of course you can. I increased the ramp rate for my normal tables in my daily driver C5 and enjoy the quicker throttle response leaving each stop light. It might drop your fuel mileage slightly because you "jackrabbit" starts, but that's a price I am willing to pay.

    What is TCS mode ?

How many people have actually messed up a pcm playing with this tables, and what are the limits to how far you can increase the tables ?

Im thinking about trying this for a buddy on his 04 5.3 crew cab.
