It takes 2 credits to license the 2 bar custom operating system.

So you are telling me it cost me $200 to tune it speed density? so if i ever change to a 3 bar its another $100? wth
Yup. Hope you plan to stick with it. I wasted those credits with my GTO thinking the custom OS was going to be worth it.

Well if you just want 1bar sd you can just unplug the maf for free... otherwise, yes. $100 to license in the first place then $100 for a custom os. So if you license then go to a 2bar then eventually a 3bar it will be $300.
So i bought a 2.5 bar for a cobalt to us in my 5.3 turbo set up, what do i need to do seeing it only list 1 2 3 bar?
have someone else tune it and pay them 600, lol.
You don't need to pay for it. Just scale your VE tables. Whether its 1, 2, 2.5 or 3 bar MAP sensors they all have the same voltage output range just the scale is different. Say you have 1 bar and you go to a 2 bar. Everything is x2... .5 bar is now 1 and 1 bar is now 2 and scale the tables accordingly. Everything over 1 should be over 100% VE. Same with 3 bar or 2.5 bar. .5 bar = 1.25 bar for a 2.5 MAP sensor. .5 = 1.5 for a 3 bar map sensor.
When I do my tune on my science project that should turn out very well. I'm going to do the same thing. You dont need to pay just unplug the MAF and scale. I'd pay if they had an option to use MAF below 1 bar and MAP above 1 bar... This is what I am lookinf or.
Correct, if you want to use one of our custom operating systems that is. You could also use the stock operating system & simply fail the maf but there are several disadvantages to doing it this way.
No, the $100 covers ALL the custom operating systems for that file ie if you have 1 bar SD, 2 bar SD, 3 bar SD, 1 bar maf w/ rtt they are all included for that $100.
Incorrect. read the above.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
A wise man once said "google it"
if you want to use one of our custom operating systems that is.
so bill does this system retain the other settings i currently have? or its all blank?
so how many credits for a gen3 2 bar os with rtt, is the rtt included with the 2bar??
or is it 2 credits for the pcm, 2 credits for the 2 bar os and 2 credits for the rtt??

RTT is only available on a select few OS's. None of the gen4 stuff has RTT. Most of the 99-up v8 car/truck stuff has RTT. When you click on the OS upgrade page it will list RTT out beside the OS if it's available for your OS. If no RTT is displayed on that page then it's not supported for that application. RTT is included with the custom OS's if available.

So I dont need extra credits to go from 2bar to 3bar if I already have the custom OS?
I am going 1bar SD. What are the benefits to using the custom OS over just "deleting" the MAF?
Edit: NVM I found the post with the differences.

This is weird, I had quoted the above statement, and put in a long response, but when I hit reply I got a blank screen. It seems as though this site is having issues with my IE9 and not letting me reply.
