Scanner troubles for TCM

So I am doing some tuning on my car.... basically bought it and did not like what the tuner had done. I told shops what I wanted but the wanted it their way so here I am.... Happy I'm doing it.... but I am trying to log my TCC variables and trans temp along with slip and gear applies. Whenever I hook the scanner up and connect it, it grabs all the units for the variables I selected. Once I hit play it looses them and only shows ECM variables.... Why no TCM anymore??? Am I doing something wrong?
