Whats wrong with doing the year/model licensing with the file you posted? Other than the fact that you only have 2 credits the file should still license fine with 6 credits.

Get a pcm that doesnt have a corrupt vcm id block.

Ok a friend of mine emailed me a z06 2002 m6 stock file, ill add License to the file then Flash using "Write Entire" after that ill change the VIN (ill put back my cars vin back)

will i have problems putting back the cars VIN

Licensing someone else's file is not the answer . you still need a license for the pcm

ouch, i thought write entire will over write the pre-file even tho the pre-file isnt licenced.

Tech 2 won't be able to fix the issue.

Ship the PCM to me and I'll flash a 2002 Z06 file to it of your choice so you don't have to license extra VCM ID's. Basically HPT licenses the VCM ID which in your PCM is corrupt. The only way to flash the PCM is with a Year/Model license or a complete Gen3 unlock.

OK i have Licence 6 credit year/model, now its asking me for 2 more credits for the RTT OS, is that regular ?

You made no mention that you are using a custom operating system, but yes you will need to license any custom operating system you've applied to the file to be able to use it.

whats the correct procedure of changing VIN ???

this is what i did:
I Write Entire with different VIN (2002 c5 z06) that i pulled out of the Repository then i clicked Flash > Change VIN (using VCM EDitor).

when i start the car it dies strat after, i switched off Security VATS now the car starts and runs fine but the Security indicator in the dashboard goes on.


i tried the Flash > Relink VATS and still Security light is on

any ideas

cant change VIN unless u flash the new file
