Idle emissions failed, smog tech said the it was running rich and Im not really sure why. The car was in open loop and and it looked like it was going to pass so went ahead and ran the test but then this, any ideas as to why???

if it was still in open loop then it will fail engine must be warm and in closed loop for fuel trims to take affect
