    2006 ECM Replacement for 2001 ECM possible???

    Hi guys,

    A week ago my truck came out with a erratic idle and P0200 code.

    Trace it to a PCM malfunction.

    My truck is a 2001 4wd turbo truck.

    Recently I upgraded the stock manifold for an Edelbrock with Aaron's elbow and Wilson 105mm TB. I'm not using IAC, but I was testing, probably in the future I might end using one.

    Now to fix my immediate problem a friend of mine has a NEW 2006 PCM he bought for his truck but never use it.

    Can I use this ECM for my truck?

    I know I'll have to buy new credits for the ECM and for the 2bar SD tune.
    But will it be a Plug and play write entire only?
    Or I have to look out for a 2001 ecm?

    not plug and play, not even the same pcm as what is currently in your vehicle.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    there goes my colour blinds theory.

    I thought the different main connector colours red/blue vs green/blue was a hipciup

    They should not look so alike !!!!
