...sound...like...shooting.....you mean bounce off the rev limiter? Put it in neutral and press the pedal down.
he actually wants the car to bounce off the limiter in gear, there is a way to do it, did it before just to test it works, took some trial and error.
set the rev limiter below the shift point? I fail to see the purpose of this...
hahaha in for a video!!

LS3 Heads/Intake, 231/239 114, 4L80e, Yank SST 3200.
it doesnt work, you will just ride on the limiter, he wants to BOUNCE off the limiter, vom vom vom vom vom vom sort of thing lol, there is a way to do it, and people like doing this stuff in this part of the world, they also tune the backfire beleive it or not, you pay $500 just to tune how you want your car to backfire, go figure...
That sound is made when extra fuel is not burned in the engine so it goes to the exhaust pipe which is hot and therefore is burned there. I've never done that but probably not letting the truck going into DFCO (check HPTuner's help for that).
I'm fuckin amazed:
Just use Spark control to accomplish this. No ETC cutoff, no Fuel Cutoff. That'll get the job done. I think command torque is -600 ft.lbs so that should lend a -30 to -40 degree timing spark advance, which will make it pop and bobble and do all that crap.
I get flames when I bounce it off the limiter on my car.

Same principle, unburned fuel (because of spark) goes to the hot exhaust pipe.
Which is then ignited at the collector instead of the combustion chamber
