louver hood the only remedy?

pretty warm today in texas.great day to test my motor in traffic with a/c on etc ..from what i can tell these vettes fully modded out get insane underhood temps! cars not overheating running normal temps.just good god i hit a 172degree i.a.t in a 30 min traffic today.i have a relocated i.a.t for my haltech too. from what i/am seeing only way out is to go full race hood ?
what are you vette guys doing with bigger motors under the hood to get temps down? i have after market radiator and condensor too.car is not getting hot.just under hood temps!

Running full time fans can help, so can a good cleaning
of condenser & radiator.

If your air is ducted nicely from outside then an outside
IAT location works well - any error is at low flow where
closed loop can take out the temperature induced air
mass skew.

As long as you're not boosted, anyway. That's a whole
'nother level of whack.
