    Question Books/Training Material?

    Hello Gentlemen,

Just got my hp tuner setup and realized its extremely complicated. I assumed the forums would have links for guides for at least generic basic tuning, (like what those advertised programmers do, basic tuning for higher octane, etc.) but it does not seem that way.

I'm wondering if you guys can recommend books that I can read to start learning. The vehicles I plan on tuning are all trucks. My personal is a Sierra Denali with the 6.2L L92.

I seen some books on amazon, but they seem old! from the 90's and what not. Also want to learn about torque management.

I see that tuning school place has a good at home program, but its like $500! Isn't there any more down to earth prices for other material?

I can assure you that Amazon has at least a couple books on there that were published more recently with good material on the topic...

i have 2 of greg banish books, one is about ve tuning but thats more for making a table from scratch, the other book i have is the one in his picture engine management advanced tuning and its pretty good lots of information and gives you a good theory behind whats going on in the engine.

Also the help section in the program itself is very extensive i have not looked in to it but there is tons of information there. I am far from familiar with this program read as much as you can google stuff you will eventually find what you are looking for
