    C6 A6 Pattern

ok, seen several threads labeling the shift patterns,

can someone who has ACTUALLY tweaked them for a C6 corvette respond.

I adjusted the NORMAL tables part throttle shift speed and TCC lockup and it didn't change sh*t...

i tried the shifter in D, then S, then cruise control, then TUTD. zero change

My first question is, what tables does it look at when the shifter is in D.

My second question is, what tables does it look at when the shifter is in S.

My third question is, what tables does it look at when the is using cruise control.

The Tuning School's book has all the different tables identified. However, they don't touch on cruise control.

If you want to know the shift pattern type. Look under Trans > Auto Shift Properties > General and you will see Shift Pattern Type.

    Pattern A = D
    Pattern B = S

Cruise control references shift patterns that the shifter is in. TUTD has its own table for Cruise Control. Hot is for Trans over-temp.

D1/D2 Would only be used if there is 1 or 2 in the shifter pattern.

You'd figure since the tuning schools A6 guide is so bad ass they would be more helpful.

Tuning the A6 is not so hard. I figured it out a couple years ago. It only took me 4 months and about 50 flashes to get the desired results.

    for what it's worth

I would think that criticizing a company that is in the business of selling tuning information for not providing that information for free in a more timely manner is counter productive in this forum.

    Interesting

Three people on this thread have tried to provide you information, including myself offline, and you have replied with sarcasm. Soon you will talking to the only one you really wanted to listen to in the first place.

Ugh, it a joke. Jim, I thank you for the help you have given me. Nobody knows how to tune these transmissions. What I've found out is each vehicle acts differently and no book can cover all that.

I've been tuning these trans since 06 or so. I think I've got them down pretty good. But you are exactly correct. It's as if these things have a "personality". You cannot copy and paste and have the same results. They're very inconsistent. I have several base files I use for different OSs.

The a6 sucks. Ive been all over the tunes with 3 different trans shops. And guess what they all burn up and fail. Seems like cars with aftermarket stalls really kill em.

You can make huge changes to some tables and it has no effect or worse the tranny acts totally different and is very inconsistent. Mine is doing great 95% of the time then out of the blue does something weird.
