    Simple Timing Table Question

    Does raising the numbers advance or retard the timing?
    Just making sure before I start playing.
    Old Car 2008 HHR SS Auto
    GMTU, TTR Solid Engine Mount and 1" Sway Bar.

    Now 2013 Sonic RS Turbo
    DDMWorks Intake, ZZP Rear Sway Bar.

    1972 Chevy Pickup
    L48 350 Holley 650, Weiand Alum Intake Manifold Water Pump and Pulley, Hot cam, 12 Bolt, Headers, Hurst Shifter.

    im not familiar with any pcm but my own, but on my 01 camaro it,
    if you are in the high octane, low octane timing tables. you are raising it with positive numbers. its degress before top dead center
    2001 3.8 v6 camaro, T5, ford 42lb green top injectors, grand national .63 a/r turbo. 8psi. stock motor, ngk tr6 plugs (one step colder) 91 octane.

    2001 4.3 zr2 s10. daily driver, 31" tires, 4x4, cat! and exhaust. looking for mpg.
