If it's the one I'm thinking of (just has an enable rpm and disable rpm) its only there to prevent you revving the engine with your foot on the brake.

I have mine maxed out and i see no codes, it's the only thing in my tune i really have no idea how it works, i maxed it out by mistake though, at least 6 months ago. Never felt anything abnormal because of it.
Has anyone happened to figure out what this actually does yet?
I'm also curious what the difference is between brake torque management and stall torque management. Is brake torque management and stall torque management disabled when you press the traction control button to off?

I noticed that my stock tune had the brake torque management disabled and stall torque management enabled (2000 rpm enable and 1600 rpm disable) and I don't remember being able to stall up the converter higher than 2000 rpm even with the traction control button turned off.
Does the same thing apply to the A6's?

I have it maxed out on my A6. Never had an issue because of it. I believe, as stated, it limits the rpm when the brake is applied.

I'm curious what limits the rpm. Is it spark, fuel, or ETC?
Just noticed ETC stayed at 33% when I had my foot to the floor so I'd like to figure out how to switch it to spark.
I just happened across this really old thread whilst in a search and am surprised this question never did get a real answer.
