    TUTD rev matching master enable/disable?

Is there a master enable/disable for the downshift rev matching in the A6? A person I'm trying to help said his car no longer rev matches when he down shifts in manual mode, and I cannot for the life of me find a smoking gun. I'll post the file I got when I get home. I did not set it up... like I said, I'm just trying to isolate that one issue.

I've found that what the Vette owners like to call rev matching is more in the torque management. Do you have TM disabled?

I haven't mucked with it in depth. Tons of the torque management was disabled by the previous tuner.

That's what I kind of figured. So it lies solely in the TCM?

    Is TM disabled?

If TM is disabled the rev matching normally is too.

I never like to turn off the TM in the A6s. It's a longer process to keep it on and tune all the parameters to get them to shift nice and still have the TM enabled, but I think they turn out better, have less side effects, and don't shift as harsh as when TM is completely diabled.

I reduce it a little but never just shut it off. I think shitting it off is dumb. Some people just like the bump and tire chirp crap though. Oh well... Their problem, not mine.

Shitting it off? LOL I know what you mean.

Yeah, using the switches to turn it off completely is the quick and dirty way to make an impression on the customer. "Wow!! It really shifts hard now!!" They get tired of it real quick though. Plus, not too many people want their CTS-Vs banging gears.

I have to keep telling myself I love my iPhone... Despite wanting to shatter it at times.

So here's a question... What exactly does disabling closed throttle downshift TM do? Sounds obvious but I always see people saying to disable that and haven't understood why people are convinced it has to be shut off.

By the way, here's the file I was given that I forgot to attach last night.

CT Downshift disables the rev-matching for the paddles and also slowing down to a stop. The CT Downshift under Tip-in Tgmgt is set to No Throttle. You will have a little delay when downshifting with paddles then punching it set to No Throttle.
