    Ignition anomaly H/C 2010 camaro

Car came in for a tune and I found this ignition anomaly in the original tune when doing base pulls on the dyno. After making my own the problem has not gone away nor can I find a table that would change timing like this. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? I do heads/cam LS cars a lot but have never had one oscillate timing in this manner.

It seems to always happen within 2000-3000rpm and .68-.72g/cyl

    dyno run from original tune

    Dyno run from my tune

    Street pull on my tune

Does it have a Callaway Honker? I did one car with that intake, and it had horrible MAF turbulence between 2000 and 3000rpm. Scale back or completely eliminate burst knock, and I bet that will go away.

It has a Haltech yellow bee intake. Other mods are mast heads, G5x3 cam, arh 1 7/8 LT w/cats, stock intake manifold, TB, injectors.

I tried turning burst knock off and the fluctuation was still present. Sometimes the car will show some knock in that area that moves inverse to the oscillation(like it should) and sometimes it doesn't register any at all. Its phantom knock as far as I can tell since I cant hear any on my stethoscope. The oscillation is anywhere from a 6-11deg magnitude.

Whoops. Totally forgot you said Camaro. Lol.

I'll have to look at your file when I'm home tonight. Add dynamic cylinder air to your scanner, and attach a log.

Using an older version of HP tuners fixed it. I flashed the car with the burst knock disabled and did a full read after and original settings were still in it. Used an older version and verified the write and everything is golden now.

Appears so. Still doesn't explain why it would oscillate even with no knock registering on the scanner. But now with burst knock disabled the oscillation is completely gone. I have not been able to recreate it again.
