Exclamation Help! Car goes lean at WOT in 3rd

As the title says, the car seems almost spot on in all other gears, minus third... I do not understand how this is even possible since ar wot in 3rd, the same cells are hit in second and fourth, but ill post up the tune and a log of the event, any insight is greatly appreciated.

    Attachment 31803

    Attachment 31804

Here is my tune and a log of the event. The VE is not done, i know... little rough now, but the car is running soooo much smoother and the trottle is so crisp. The AFR while cruising and accelerating is about where I want it everywhere but wot in third.

    Let me know guys, thanks

Typically that's a mechanical issue, not really tune relayed. The ECM doesn't know the difference between third and reverse.

I can't see the logs or the tune because I don't have my HPT with me.

    How lean is it going?

Wow, 12.4 in 1st, 12.8 in 2nd, and as lean as 13.8 in 3rd, and 13.4 again in 4th - yikes. You are right though, they are all at about 80kpa. Looking at your averages though, you are 12.9-13.3 for most of the run. Your WOT PE is 1.153 - Why not richen that up to around 1.19 and relog. Bet you end up around 12.4-12.5 range. You can always lean it back out a bit. Your also getting around .5 knock from 4800rpm and up. I would pull a 1/2 degree of timing while your at it in those ranges.

I was just thinking that it was spot on in first so I had Pe about right, what mechanical issue would cause this drastic change from gear to gear?

Also, the MAF only tune was spot on afr wise, right at 12.5afr, so I must assume that it is something with the Ve table.

Yes, the VE needs some work. Do you smooth between changes? It doesn apear so. Will take a few more logs, changes, and smoothing to get it as good as you want.

I wouldnt say I smoothed much between logs, it was more like removal of all the mountains when logging. Lol, would an unsmooth VE table cause any issues like my problem though?

Well, its not so much a load difference, it is the Vararam causing my maf sensor to look like a ricter scale during an epic earthquake. Only third is near this bad, perhaps resonance, or at that certain speed range, the hoodscoops get hit just right and causes the maf to go haywire.

    Beware of the Vararam

I am indeed spot on 12.5 all the way through 4th gear from about 2500rpm

I think that i am going to leave the maf failed intil I can reconfigure my intake setup.

Probably a good choice. Open loop VE in SD is the best way to go in my opinion if you nail your VE table perfect.
