Using a 2 bar sensor but not changing to a 2 bar o/s or SD tune

I need to remove an intake to fix a knock sensor and person wants me to swap their stock 1 bar map sensor to a 2 bar sensor for future use while intake was off use but not upgrade to 2 bar os after swap. Basically just swap out sensors only and change nothing else, will it work?

Not with a stock Gen 3 OS as your PCM would interpret 2.5V (as an approximate example) that a 2 bar sensor would output at 1 bar as 52 ish kPa meaning unless you retuned at half resolution, which is pointless imo, then all airflow modelling via SD would be inaccurate.

Thanks, I thought as much about the resolution.

You could go ahead and apply the 2bar OS to the tune however and run it NA...
