Using the search function would likely show you your cot is active, but post the log and tune at least.

Thats a tune file, not a log. Your engine size under engine general is not corrected for your 427. Your injector data is wrong. And your PE settings are different across the board. You need to do some more reading, put the correct base information in first, and then start over.

I had no problem entering 0.875 for the engine size in your tune.

when i push enter it goes down to 0..and i do not understand why when i put a value in the area scalar it goes to 0 too

  8. #8
why do i have problem with that then..? all i do is record my value and it goes to 0

Right click on the cell and go down to precision and set it to at least 3-4 decimal places. Also make sure you are in L for liters or you can do in3 for cubic inch. Remember this is per cylinder so it will be total displacement divided by 8.

    From your tune...

    PE ratio: 1.24805 1.24805 1.24805 1.24805 1.24805 1.20020 1.20020 1.24023 1.24023 1.24023 1.24023 1.24023 1.24023 1.19043 1.19043 1.19043 1.19043 1.19043 1.33984

When your vehicle goes into PE mode its takes the above X/14.62 (stoich value). i.e. 1.24805/14.62 = 11.7 Commanded AFR. I believe these are the original stock values in your tune. Anyhow just because they are there doesn't mean you will achieve that value in the VCM Scanner software using your wideband. It means IF you have started with good injector data and tuned your VE/MAF table(s) correctly you should be able to get within 4-5% error of the Commanded AFR result consistently. These values CAN be different from rpm to rpm in your tune but we recommend you choose a PE mode value that is similar , i.e. 1.17000, until you get your baseline tune to consistently acheive your tunes Commanded AFR. Then you can change these values back to whatever will results in best power for your situation.

    Engine size:

1 cubic Inch =16.387064 cubic Centimetres. 427 cubic Inches =6999.7 cubic Centimetres. 6999.7 cubic Centimetres =6.9997 Litres or approx. 7 Litres when rounded off. 7 Liters / 8 Cylinders = .875!

Start by reading the VE tuning guide. Google "hp tuners ve tuning guide"

It wouldnt hurt to find a forum of people that have the same car you do and join it. Then you can find people in your area that have not only the same car, but have hp tuners. You would be surprised how many people will help a fellow gearhead that has the same kind of car. But seriously, best bet on your first tune is to have someone walk you through it, rather than blunder through it blindly. G/L :-)
