Ability to trim/cut & paste logs

It would be great if there was a way to trim or cut and paste log files. When I'm logging runs at the track, I end up with a lot of extra nonsense (A few seconds of waiting lines, the burnout, staging, etc) that is simply not needed. It would be great if there was a way to trim the logs down.

Also an auto start/stop/save feature would be good with the scanner. Like, slap the space bar to start then stop, and it auto saves with a timestamp. This way logging at the track becomes far, far easier.

I've asked about the same thing, it would be useful. Better
than tryijng to export & trim in Excel, because you can't get
back to the viewer with that. But maybe Excel import with
    ability to concatenate would do.

I could also see some value to "log on trigger" (sit there and
scan, but do not record until some set of conditions is met
(like, say, TPS>1% off the line)) and for some period or until
    some stop-logging condition.

That would be great, as well.
