    Lost "Trans Current Gear" pid

I recently had my transmission built but feel it has nothing to do with my problem. However, it is the only change recently.

    Question:

I lost the pid trans current gear from under the transsmission>general
    pid list.

In the cell of my config file it states <unsupported parameter>

I cleared the cell and tried to reassign the pid from my pid list but it is not available. ANYWHERE

Any thoughts on what happened and how to get it back?

I am running version 2.23.207 purchased in May, 2011.

Were you able to previously log it for the same vehicle?

Yes I was logging the trans current gear. The only thing that was changed was the whole tranny was swapped with a new one. The internals from the new one were removed and hardened shafts, drums and different redline clutch packs were installed.

It had been suggested to repoll the pcm/tcm but I and unfamiliar with the procedure to do this.

Also, I searched on this topic and saw where another member was instructed to delete .os file then repoll.

What is the .os file. I assume operating system.

Any help witht the exact procedure would be appreciated, as I am unclear on how to do this and do not want to cause a problem with the program execution or loose my config or log files. I know the config files ar .cfg aand log files are .hpl. I have not worked with other files

    I received info from Dsteck

    Start Menu
    Documents
    HP Tuners
    VCM Scanner

Delete all the .os files in there. Then, connect to the car and it will rescan supported PIDs.[/QUOTE]

Ok got the pid to select and loaded it into the config cell.

However when atten\pted to log and it searched for supported pids, that pid went to

    unsupported parameters again.

Any ideas how to get the pid supported. Prior to thr tranny swap, it worked fine.

Did you change operating systems, trans segments or something similar? I can't think of any reason just changing the transmission would have an effect on our software.

    No Bill,

I did not change operating systems.

It seems for some reason the "trans current gear" pid is no longer supported.
How would you go about trying to get it supported?

    I really like that pid

Were you logging it via standalone or via laptop?
