Spd Lmtr off OK/Speedo Mtr still limited

2006 GTO, cam, cold air, headers, etc. tuned by "MASTER!" tuner. We turned speed limiter off and car will run up there fine. Trouble is the Speedometer (both the number and the dial) go to a certain point (ie 155) and don't go further even though the GPS (and definitely we know)is showing faster. Any ideas?

Did search the forum. Couldn't find anything. If someone has already addressed this issue, thanks in advance if you'll let me know.

PID is limited to 155mph in the scanner, no workaround for it currently.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

The actual Speedo on the car. Irritating. Either have to hook up the scanner or hook up a Garmin gps. Kinda crummy with all the technology that such a sweet car as a 2006 GTO can't have the speedo tell you what the car is doing. It would be safer to let us know than to keep us "limited" in knowledge.

Ok turn the key on while holding the mode & set button`s at the same time. When you see the serial number use the mode button to scroll down the list. Look for over speed use the set button to turn it off. let me no there may be one other thing to look at.
