like the title reads, is there a way to stop the pcm (05 silverado ss pcm) from turning the fans on when logging the w/b through the a/c switch?

Did you try setting the AC Fans disable speed to 0?
i did that. didnt make any diff.

Don't those fans come on any time you energize the A/C switch? I think it's what they are supposed to do, so you may just have to pull fuses or something.
have people log through "fuel tank pressure sensor" i dont use that anymore? i cant see that changing anything with the tune? all the EVAP system is removed.

i now log through fuel tank pressure sensor. no more fans and all looks fine.

You mean A/C pressure sensor?
It is normal to have the high speed Fans on when A/C pressure reads high, because it's trying to cool the system down to prevent a failure.
Hooking WB to A/C tells the PCM the pressure is too high and tries to lower it cooling it.
I have never logged through A/C because I have a pro interface, but I think you can disable a few things to avoid that then turn them back on when you finish.
i know its normal, i was unable to disable the fans from turning on. i switched to the fuel tank pressure sensor now.
