I have a 2010 Camaro SS with an LS3, so it's a conventional valvetrain.
I'm curious if anyone has added VVT to one of these and been able to use HPTuners to "turn it on" and tune it after adding the wiring for the cam phaser?
I know it's the same block as the L99 in the automatic Camaro SS, and the same E38 hardware...so theoretically it should be able to function given the correct wiring.
I've seen a few guys with automatics cars put on a limiter on the phaser to avoid pistons hitting valves...then gone with some very impressive cams, and they're able to setup the phaser timing to make some tremendous power gains across the board, without sacrificing idle/low RPM power/drive-ability as much as you'd normally wind up doing with a bigger (more top end friendly) cam.
