I want sooooo bad to say who this is from. I've tuned several cars that this guy has tuned. They all look the same. Not only does he do what he does in the PCM, but all the CTS-Vs I'm tuning that he's tuned, he takes the SC bypass solenoid off and plugs the line!!

I don't know. I was thinking the same thing. It has to drive the heat up like crazy.

I won't say names, but before I knew anything about tuning I would recommend him, don't do that anymore though. The guy is semi retired, sold his shop and just does Mail orders out of his house if thats a hint

Question. Tuning Technique. PE. Who uses MAP, who uses Throttle to primarily control it?

I find the stock MAP works best if you have full throttle response. Enabling PE at like 70kpa or higher i find leaves it open for knock at quick throttle jabs.

On boosted setups, I switch to MAP... Especially with turbos, since the same throttle position can be wildly different MAP values.

Hey is that numb-nut Chuck Cow still trying to keep in the tuning game? I made him look like a fool on the G8 board, and then he proceeded to call me out on the size of my toolbox in one of my signature photos. I was highly amused.

"Some" Vette owners, they'll buy anything from anyone who speaks bullshit fluently.

Yeah probably because he didn't change the MAF, VE or spark tables. I've seen that in some of his tunes. Hey at least it won't destroy the motor. Just the wallet...

I'll disagree. We installed a supercharger and all of the above was tuned and changed. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so I'll end this here.

I am sure with every tuner and shop, there are happy customers and some that are not. Its part of the game.

I was at the shop for 4 days while the work was done. In total I would say we spent 4 hours of street tuning and about 3 on the dyno. He definitly spent the time to make me happy. I know ! He doesnt have a dyno ! We drove mine and another vette to the shop of his friend and spent till 2am on that dyno.

By the way, I am not pushing for any one to like or go to Chuck. I have no interest in doing that. I was just stating that for me, it all went well.
