I did not review everything but after I saw the PE rape job, I had to laugh. What the heck? 1.7 PE. A new record!

The worst I've seen was .682, not 1.682 but really .682, FRPP 80# with a TVS2300 on a LSX376. I felt bad for the owner, mostly because he's the editor of a major truck magazine, the same shop left it with some electrical issues right before bringing it here to Texas for a show...

Another local shop had a 2.18 in a guy's MP112 6.0 truck, that was pretty badass to see as well lol

I just redid a tune this weekend that had the PE around .6-.7.

Hm, maybe. It would be interesting to see how companies like Vortech, Procharger or Lingenfelter modify stock LS7 tune for supercharging, especially PE.

    Anyone have an example...

Best way I see is learn to scale. It was worth all the headaches for me.

the sad thing is the ls7 tune is set up with a os 2bar-speed density. why thay do thing`s like this is thay don`t care about the person or there car. as long as thay can make a sale that`s it. make`s hard on the one`s that do this for a living and do the the job right. the tust is not there for someone who has been burned before.

Shiiiiit, bawlin. It's funny when I emailed a file over to a "shop" that replaced a PCM for a customer who moved out of state he replied saying the tune was all messed up and the injector flow rates and VE were all out of whack. Hmmmmm... were they off by say 50%? Oh snap

Lol right! Thank god for LTFT's in that file. It boggles my mind how a lot of people strive so hard to do things as if they're an OE calibrator making sure everything runs smooth while others get away with such bullshit of a tune and charge 500 bucks for it. I guess my deal is I just see it as more of a hobby since I don't tune for a living. Money makes people do stupid shit all the time and it shows.

I tune as a profession. It's all I do. I would never think about doing some of this crap. Whether I tune, or turn wrenches, or build cabinets. I'm going to try to put 100% effort into anything I do. I think it's a matter or pride. Some people have it, and some don't.

A local tuner threw some crap into a C5 that I looked at. I thought the spark map looked like a level from Excite Bike.

+rep (if we had it on this board) for Excitebike.

I had a pretty simple car come in the other day that was the most poorly running thing that I have ever seen. Came from another shop "already tuned".

A4 F-body. 42lb SVOs, 85mm Truck MAF, 226_230_113LSA, AFR 205s, Fast 90/90... and .8V on the TPS at idle (IAC at 0 by 110 degF).

Now I'm curious as to the names of the "big tuner shops" that are putting out tunes like this.

Too many to list. I think it might even be a sign of the times, a quickly thrown together tune in the name of the getting the car in and out and getting paid...

I had a similar 'big hot rod shop' tune come my way that was a LS1/4L60E swap into a 51 Chevy using a 98 camaro PCM. The tune was down right scary and unusable on pump gas. The strange thing was this guy was looking for a cruiser, a perfectly stock tune modified to function outside of the OE body would have been fine and exactly what the cust was originally looking for and the original shop/tuner knew the cust requests.

Amen to that, I'm too proud to let someone drive something that I've tuned and it not be something that I put 100% of my knowledge and effort into. If I don't know something I'm not familiar with it, I won't take it on as a project unless it's my own.

lmfao, I literally just choked on my drink, mostly upon the fact that you took time to photoshop the excite bikes in there haha

One car I did about a year ago I wrote the initial file and couldn't wrap my head around why the hell it wouldn't idle good. Low and behold they took a 3/8" bit to the throttle blade, epic win

Just call any of them up and ask them "how badass do you think you are at tuning?", if they reply "im the baddest mutha around ain't no one can touch me, im like a hypertech on crack (direct quote)" then call the next shop...

This weekend I tuned a race car in 10 minutes flat. Does that qualify as a hack? LOL
