I had a problem with a CTSv and I had to plug the navigation fuse to get it to down load.

I have a 2006 to do this weekend, and I hope it just downloads without a headache

Email support a vcm suite infolog while connected to the vehicle in question.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Turn off high speed. Mine does the same thing, but it then says "retry, going to low speed".

Mine did the same thing, unfortunately you have to write lo speed on it and it will most likely work. Unfortunately I never found out why.
