Big Cam, Big Cube rolling idle question

Working on a 2000 trans am. Specs are 434ci, trick flow 235's, custom cam. I have the start-up and idle nice. The one issue I have, is rolling idle. Rolling idle is between 1500 and 1800 rpm's. When I come to a stop sign, it will hang high for a long time, and then will eventually settle down to 1100 give or take. I've spent a lot of time on this, and I think it's something I'm overlooking (I hope) Anything to look for or any suggestions?

The car is a 6 speed car.

    Thanks in advance!
