    L36 Top Swap

Over 4th of July, I top swappped my L36 in my 1997 Grand Prix GT. No other modifications were done. Currently, I am running a relatively odd mixture of L67 engine data over stock L36 data to make the trans operate. I have no KR, but I also have terrible fuel economy. I was curious if I can scale down my injector flow rate when the vehicle is not boosting to the stock L36 flow rate and give the car back my fuel economy. Thanks for the help.

Here is my current tune and scan of normal driving. Don't mind the file names...the car I scanned to get stock L36 was named "Black Nasty" by its owner and I never changed it because it's easy to find.

Well, I see you are really running rich there. Have you tried ltft+stft applied to your MAF table for starters? I would start there and then have a go at the TCC tables to pick up a bit more mileage. Getting those trims in line would be a good start! Timing seems a little low in cruse region too. Should be no problem to run 40* in that area. You'll not only pick up some mileage, but be a lot more responsive as well

I know I'm running rich...I'm running a stock L36 bottom end with the L67 heads, injectors, supercharger, etc. This means I'm dumping far more fuel at cruise than I used to be. My curiosity is can I just scale back the injectors, or do I need to try messing with the MAF scale? I know I need to change the timing and whatnot to compensate, too. Just looking to try one thing at a time and looking for the best thing to adjust first. Thanks for the help so far and I'll take those ideas into consideration.

    fueltrims.cfg

Use this config file to get a scan. We'll clean this up in no time. Post a log when you can get one down.

[SENS.114]+[SENS.116] will give you STFT+LTFT. Heres a shot of what it should look like:

    Ya, Got it....I think
    Custom Histogram
And I assume that the adjustments go to the VE table, Correct?

    Sorry for the newb-ish Question.
    Still sooo much to learn.

When they went to a newer version, it looks like they changed the way histos are set up. Very confusing.

Nope, not VE... MAF table. Once you have MAF dialed in then you can fail the MAF if you like and tune the VE table. I'd get the MAF dialed in first
