    2012 Silverado Support

I hooked up my scanner (beta is about a week old) and it won't even let me read.....It just says number of attempts exceeded, security failed or something like that....

    Any advice?

Just to clear things up E38 pcm's are supported, the newer E78 pcm's are currently not supported but are being worked on.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Is the E78 (that's not yet supported) the PCM that would be in a 5.3L 2011 Chevy Avalanche?

It seems all of the GM Trucks end at 2010 year. This because of a PCM revision (E78 or other)?

I have seen E38 in all the 2011's I tuned with 5.3's. The only E78 I have seen was in a 2011 2500 with a 6.0. It was a pain to tune (different software) and has a very different torque management built in.

    Thanks for the response guys!

I haven't had a minute to hook up my laptop and see for myself, but are you saying that the 2011 Avalanche 5.3 is supported (despite not saying it is) so long as it is the E38 controller? Same engine and PCM as the Silverado 1500, Escalade, and Tahoe, no?

Can anyone answer if the 2011 5.3L Avalanches are supported please? If so, do I need the beta?
