    Whoa...

    I just tuned an 05 Corvette (LS2) with a CAM 236/242 617/613 111 +2 LSA.

I got it so I was driving around in 3rd gear(stick car) at 15-17 mph with no bucking. Even took it down to 800 RPM once and drove it out with a very slight buck.

I don't think the guy can ask for anything better than that. I know mine doesn't drive that well.

Yep stock except for the CAM and springs/pushrods. Has Nitrous but it doesn't get used.

    This lol

I have a 06 gto with a 236/240 600 lift cam and I can lug it down to around 1200 or 40mph in six with little to no bucking.

I had it down to 800rpm in second gear with my foot off the gas just letting idle drive the car and purred like a kitten. It was a flat road though. Any load and things may have been different.

Still huge cams like that with any load at all jerk and do some crazy crap. So far as I know that cam is absolutely notorious for not being driver friendly, so I've heard. Congrats.

My buddy's 25X/26X with 29* overlap drives about the same as my 230/234 on a 116+1. It's all in the tune. There are a lot of tricks you can do.

Granted, with these LS3 heads if you get enough exhaust timing in the cam compared to the intake, drivability is greatly improved. I suppose overall spark timing is a major factor as well.

That 230/234 is in your Z06 right?

And all things considered, the Vengeance Stage 2 cam I installed in my G8 drives like stock, and bumbles around 800 rpm idle. Where it pulls off the line just fine.

Good job. I had a similar cam in my car before going FI and I couldn't deive it under 1500 RPM's without it bucking badly.

That was originally developed when I had that same huge cam. Worked great. It was just the low RPM bucking I could not get rid of. I guess I just accepted that I would have to live with the bucking with a big ass cam like that so I really didn't try to fix it.

Curious what methods you employed to get such good drivability out of it? I would think a considerable amount more timing at low speeds, injector delay changes, RAF increase, and careful airflow mapping. Do share!
