    VCM read Failed at loc:...

    new to the hpt application.. i've searched the forum for help, but couldn't fine anything similar, i took a screen shot, not sure what to do next.. has anyone come across this before..

    disconnected fuse & plug behind the mirror (on star)

    previously tuned with HPT & Trifecta

    Windows 7 Ultimate (no SP)
    HPT beta 2.23.358
    MVPI (checked)
    .net 3.0 4.0

    Looks like you might just need the newest beta, send an email to support with your serial number to request the newest beta software.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    the VCMSuiteInfo app is sweet troubling shooting tool!!

    i had something similar back earlier 90's when i was coding hex...

    looks like trifecta may have scrambled a few things in the code ultimately locking us out in this case, if you are able to have the pcm flashed back to stock via hpt or tech 2 you should be able to read it out.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    just talked to a tuner in fl, told me he had a customer with the same problem -Vince locked the file, and had to write everything over and perform "Cut, Copy & Paste" surgery..

    Hey Bill, I got a new ECM installed but I went to read the file and credit screen flashed by I didnt get to choose the any options but I noticed 1 of the two remaining credits are gone, even thou i didn't perform a read or write the first time around?
