first drive of my TTix C6 Z06

This has been a long road. The sound is absolutely intoxicating. There are only about 30 miles on the engine at this point, and we took it to 12psi. Haha. Rings seated in pretty quick.

Nothing interesting yet. I've just been checking everything over, and after about another two hours of run time, I'm going to change the fuel filter. I need to also diagnose why my pump is stalling out completely at WOT once in a while. When I cycle the ignition, it comes right back. I may have an issue with my pump speed controller not getting a clean tach signal, although it's taking tach signal right off the PCM with about two feet max of wire.

Thing drives like stock. The fuel control is phenominal. Idling at 800rpm... trims cycle perfect. I have my over/underspeed timing set up really aggressive, which gives the car a very rhythmic idle (you can watch idle speed sine-wave back and forth from 750 to 850 which gives the sound/feel I want).

Clutch needs some use to break it in before I really get crazy. I don't have much more to go through!

More info on this please! What do you mean by aggressive? Thanks

Nice Dave! When you plan on strapping it down over at Ben's? Can't wait to see the numbers.

RPS told me specifically not to put it on a dyno until I had more miles on the clutch. Ben doesn't think my runflats will hold on the dyno either... and I'm pretty tapped out right now, so buying DRs isn't on my list. I might steal some he has sitting in the shop just long enough to dyno it and get SD out of the way!

I need to change out the springs in the wastegates. 14psi as a MINIMUM is not where I want to be right now!

After the build you did, I can understand being tapped out! Can't wait to see what it puts down. BTW, how is the turf war?!?!?....

    Turf wars got intense!

Carl, I had my minimum pump voltage set way too low. I had messed with it while the engine was idling. I ended up jumping power to the ignition terminal on the PSC and found that base voltage with no RPM signal was only 6.7 volts! I raised it up to 9.4 and it has been rock solid ever since. I've had no overheating problems, and no pump shutoff in boost. I think it was just trying to pull up voltage too hard or something and stalling the pump. Who knows.

Not really. I've only put about 600 miles on the setup. I'm hoping to jump on the dyno soon, but I really need to change my fuel filter, put softer springs in the wastegates, and install my boost controller.

So last night we threw it on the mustang dyno at 11psi. On 93 octane and no meth it made 770whp and 800ft-lbs. IAT at the end of the run... 200 degrees. Hahaha. My IAT timing table had dropped advance down to 2-2.5 total degrees. We poured water over the intercooler, then hit it with nitrous to freeze the intercooler. Next run hit 170 and 10 degrees advance... Made exactly the same power and torque. It never gets that high on IAT on the street. I'm pretty happy. I will be cranking it to 15psi and trying again... Then I'll kick the meth on.

Broke the trans. Haha. Saw that one coming. In hindsight, going WOT in third up a hill with drag radials on at 16psi was killer. The T-56 was perfectly fine for the dozen pulls before that.

Built TR6060 with a Driveshaft Shop prop shaft and poly couplers on the way. FML.
